Step Up Instrument Program

There comes a time in every young musicians journey when they need a higher quality musical instrument. Higher quality instruments will have features that allow your child to make a better sound (we call that ‘tone’) and play more difficult passages of music (or ‘touch’). Our Step Up Instrument program is Rent-to-Own and lets you build equity toward your instruments purchase while progressing through higher quality instruments along the way. All of our instruments are from reputable manufacturers and have been selected by your band director. Have questions about beginner instrument rentals? Picking the instrument quality thats right for you...

Intermediate Instruments

Intermediate Instruments are your baseline instrument. They are perfect for someone at the start of their musical journey. We recommend that everyone start on a Beginner Instrument as they learn the basics of playing. 

Intermediate Plus Instruments

Intermediate Plus Instruments are a step above Intermediate. They will have added features (like extra keys on a saxophone or an added trigger on a trombone for example) that will let your child play more challenging pieces of music and make a better sound as they advance in skill.

Advanced Instruments

Advanced Instruments are the highest quality instruments we offer. Made with premium materials and added features, they are noticeably higher quality than Intermediate and Beginner instruments.

Weekly School Pickup & Delivery for Orders

Order anything online or in-store and we'll deliver it to your child's school for free! Need a repair? Contact us and we'll pick it up from your child's school and bring it back when it's fixed.

Maintenance & Replacement Program

Our optional maintenance and replacement program covers all repairs and provides you with a loaner instrument until yours is repaired; even if its lost, stolen or destroyed! We can even exchange your instrument with an already repaired on for quicker turnaround! There are no deductibles with maintenance and replacement coverage!

Easy Payment Options

We offer two easy-pay options: Monthly Auto-Pay and Full School Year Payment. Choose the instrument that meets your needs and budget! Did we mention there are NO credit checks?

No Long-Term Contracts

Our Month-to-Month Step Up Rental Agreement means you can return, exchange, upgrade, or payoff your instrument at any time with no penalty.

Step Up Instrument Program FAQs

Renting is easy! Just complete our Online Rental Application to rent online and we’ll deliver your instrument right to your home or your child’s school. *Signature required for home delivery.

Want to rent in person? No problem! Stop by our locations in Fort Walton Beach, Panama City or Tallahassee or visit one of our Rental Affiliate stores. Our trained professionals will help you choose an appropriate instrument and accessories if needed. Next, we’ll gather some information from you and print your Rental Agreement. Both parties sign the agreement and a personalized ID tag is attached to the instrument case. The whole process takes between 10-30 minutes.

Our Rental Rates start from $21.99 and up per month depending on the type of band instrument and the options you choose. See our Rental Page for current rates.

No. We do require some personal information in order to release one of our instruments into your care. 
All public school band students within our service area are guaranteed a rental instrument under most circumstances. Call 850-243-2514 for additional info.
